Ashley R. Snelson - Head of School

Theron Snelson Jr. is a dedicated educator, mentor, and community leader with a deep passion for developing the whole child. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Theron attended University of Missouri–Kansas City, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development, a foundation that continues to shape his approach to education and leadership.

Currently, Theron serves as a committed educator while pursuing advanced studies toward both a Master’s and PhD in Education, reflecting his lifelong commitment to learning, instructional excellence, and educational innovation. His work is driven by a desire to positively impact students academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring they are equipped to lead with confidence, character, and purpose.

Married for over sixteen years, Theron is a proud husband and father of six children. Family is central to his life, and he enjoys spending quality time traveling and creating meaningful experiences with his wife and children.

Theron is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and a Free Mason, roles through which he continues to serve as a mentor and community impact leader. Known for his integrity, consistency, and heart for youth development, Theron is passionate about empowering students and families to rise above limitations and walk boldly in their God-given potential.

Ashley R. Snelson - Head of School

Ashley Snelson is a proud St. Louis, Missouri native who completed her studies and earning her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. With a deep passion for education and a heart for nurturing future leaders, Ashley is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families.

Ashley plans to pursue her Master’s degree in Education, with an emphasis on becoming a Reading Specialist, further strengthening her commitment to academic excellence and literacy development.

In addition to her work in education, Ashley is a community impact leader, serving in ministry and supporting a nonprofit after-school reading program. She is also an active member and leader within Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Celebrating over sixteen years of marriage, Ashley and her husband are the grateful parents of six amazing children. She enjoys traveling, reading in comfortable spaces, shopping, and spending meaningful time creating memories with her family. 

Ashley remains deeply committed to empowering students, supporting families, and creating a lasting, positive impact within her school community and beyond.

Dedicated to developing, inspiring, and uplifting the next generation, Coach Jackie is a Pre-K educator with nine years of experience supporting young learners as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She is a proud graduate of Texas Woman’s University and is passionate about building a strong foundation of confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning in every child.

Outside of the classroom, she finds strength in reading God’s Word and joy in dancing and shopping. Above all, she values quality time with family and friends and brings that same sense of care and connection into her work with students.

Coach Kaylyn  is our dedicated Junior Kindergarten Coach. With a background in healthcare administration and early childhood education, Kaylyn brings strong communication, organization, and care-centered skills into the classroom each day. Her experience allows her to thoughtfully support both students and families while fostering a positive learning environment.

Outside of the classroom, Kaylyn is a proud mom to her energetic 8-year-old son, and a devoted dog mom to her miniature dachshund. She enjoys puzzles, coloring, spending time outdoors, going for walks, volunteering at her church, and staying active with her son. When it’s time to unwind, she loves relaxing with a good movie or a coloring project.

Coach Lonai is one of our original LFA coaches and a dedicated leader within our school community. She earned her Bachelor of Behavioral Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University and brings over two decades of teaching experience to the classroom. Throughout her career, she has taught students from PreK through 4th grade.

Coach Lonai is a native of McKinney, Texas, and enjoys time with her husband and their two youngest children. Family time is especially meaningful. Outside of school, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family, going to the movies, and watching football with her husband...Go Cowboys!

Coach Kimberly is a native of Los Angeles, California who transplanted to Little Elm Texas in July, 2020. She is the proud mother of five adult children and twenty-four grandchildren. All of her children live in Southern California.

Coach Kimberly is a graduate of BIOLA University, in La Marida, California where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, and further her studies in psychology by obtaining her Master’s Degree from Hope International University.

Coach Kimberly and her husband enjoy the slower pace of Texas and the friendly people they live around. They have two dogs they love very much, one is a Labradoodle and a Great Dane puppy that keep them plenty busy!

Coach Raquel  is thrilled to join the LFA family as our newest coach! Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Raquel grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and now calls Texas home. Where she has lived with her husband and their three wonderful children for the past two years. She is a proud graduate of Southern University A&M College. Outside of the classroom, Raquel loves creating new adventures with her family, hosting gatherings, and cherishing special traditions, especially during her favorite season, Christmas. She looks forward to bringing her passion, energy, and heart for students to the classroom every year!

Coach Heidii is a devoted Christian, wife, and mother of two who brings both heart and purpose to everything she does. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University and is passionate about helping young minds grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Outside of her professional role, Heidii enjoys gardening and spending quality time with her family, where laughter and meaningful moments are always close at hand. She is deeply committed to nurturing kindness, curiosity, and faith in the next generation. Her hope is that the seeds she plants today in both life and learning will flourish into confident, compassionate world changers for years to come, bringing glory to God through their impact!

Coach Pamela currently serves as the LFA Afterschool Director and Assistant Coach.  Holding a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.), she is a fantastic asset to our LFA community. Throughout her career, she served in various roles, including but not limited to Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Mental Health Therapist (CMHT), Certified Public Manager (CPM), and Director of Substance Use Disorder Services with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Coach Pam retired in 2019 after more than thirty five years in the field of social services.

She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Cynthia Diggs was born in Colón, Panama, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, before relocating to the South with her parents in 1985. She eventually made the DFW metroplex home, where she raised her two wonderful children with her late husband.

She brings a blend of creativity, organization, and heart to her role as Executive Assistant. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion from the Art Institute of Dallas, she is the founder of Stations Lifestyle, a design-focused business where she applies her expertise in design thinking, efficiency, and aesthetics to help homes and organizations flourish.  She loves traveling and spending time with family.

Known for her professionalism, warmth, and commitment to excellence, she is passionate about creating environments where students, staff, and families feel supported, valued, and welcomed. She is honored to serve in a role that allows her to contribute to a thriving school community and support its mission with dedication and grace.

Bell, a native of Birmingham, AL, and mother of fraternal twin boys who are 7th graders at LFA. She is a proud graduate of Howard University – Biology cum laude. She has a Master

Dr. Latres M. Bell, Ph.D., MPH, is native of Charleston, South Carolina, where she truly holds her Gullah/Geechee Culture to heart. She is the wife of Patrick D. Bell, a native of Birmingham, AL, and mother of fraternal twin boys who are 7th graders at LFA. She is a proud graduate of Howard University – Biology cum laude. She has a Master of Public Health degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences (Delta Omega Honorary Society) and completed her Infectious Diseases training from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She earned a PhD from Liberty University in Developmental Psychology. She has completed the University of Pennsylvania’s Resilience Program which focuses on cognitive behavior and social problem-solving skills.

She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America and The Links, Incorporated. Dr. Bell enjoys spending time with her family, cooking/baking and traveling.
